Mac OS X Leopard – 10/26/2007
“The biggest upgrade to Mac OS X is almost here. Over 300 new features will make everything you do more productive and more fun. Mac OS X Leopard—it’s the world’s most advanced operating system. Advanced.”
- Newsletter from Apple
That’s right…it is almost here! You can “see more of Leopard here”:http://www.apple.com/macosx/.
Why am I posting? Well, I (internally) said I’d get a Mac when Leopard was released.
It won’t be immediately after but I definitely didn’t want to get one until Leopard came out.
So…I guess I’ll have a Mac here soon (probably in November or December; no rush).
PS – I don’t want to hear it Mike!
**CORRECTION**
The date is 10/26/07…not 24. I’ve updated the title and file name.

“64-Bit Applications
Make use of all your existing devices. Leopard is the first mainstream operating system to completely and seamlessly support both 32-bit and 64-bit applications on the same platform.”
Right… Seems to me that XP & Vista have been running 32 bit and 64 bit applications “completely” and “seamlessley” side by side for the better part of 2 years now.
and if that wasn’t enough… Unix has been doing it for close to a decade
Must be fun to make up whatever you want.
I swear, if I was a lawyer, I would sue them every other week for false advertising.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Yeah, I stopped reading their ads since a lot of their words and “innovations” are old news with a new look. lol. Leopard still looks interesting though.

FINALLY!!!! I knew one day you would wake up and come to your senses. As for Cody’s comments above, don’t pay any attention to him…. he just gets jealous of OUR Mac’s sometimes
Knowing that your finally getting a Mac is ALMOST as good as getting a new mac for myself!!!!

Ohh one more thing.. you got the date wrong, it is 10/26/07 (unless you know how I can get it on the 24th)

crap. I was hoping being all the way across the country Mike wouldn’t be able to get you the “kool-aid”.
Ah well. You have to admit though… if they were Microsoft, they would be getting an Anti-Trust suit slapped against them so fast for all the extras they are adding in here that it would make your head spin.
Seems we’re all about fair competition… as long as the little guy gets an advantage and we can pick on the big guy.
Would hate to have a judge like that… you know… if I ever, um, did… something.

Mike
Uh oh…I hope Google didn’t catch this yet.
Uhhh…yeah, 26th.
Yeah, I knew you’d be happy.
Cody
LMBO @ kool-aid.
True on the suits. I’m sure they’d get slapped hard. It sucks that things go this way but oh well.
